Why is it that susbtitles are cyan color ??
And why are the subtitles so big in font size ?

DMM, that's really an ugly choise you have made here !

Is it possible for you to make the subtitles white and chose a smaller font size.
An even better solution would be to let the user chose color and font size in the enigma2 subtitles menu !

    Thanks

My DM7025 is working perfect, but the LCD display backlight does not work anymore ?
The display works (but hard to see the text without the backlight)

Adjusting the LED light in the menu does NOT help.
Putting in a new firmware does NOT help.

Some hardware must be dead ? Mabe the display it self ?
If it's not the display what should i then replace ? Are there a supply driver for the background LED's i can replace ?

Is it possible to get at diagram on the front PCB ?

Any clue what i should do ?

There is a bug in the DM7025 generating the txt-tv signal for the TV
(The generated signal for using txt-tv on the TV it self)

For most channels txt-tv signal are working just fine after Enigma2 is up running.
But some channels are failing the txt-tx signal for the TV.

When it's failing will it do fail on all channels.
If you restart Enigma2 the channels that where ok in the first place will work again.

When it failing can you also see in the txt-tv upper line, that it's flashing fast between new and old txt-tv data ?
It seems like the software don't clear the memory from old txt-tv data.
It's mixing new and old txt-tv data ?

Here is what to do for getting it fail:
    --------------------------------------------------
    1) Restart Enigma2

    2) Goto e.g channel "ZDF" at 19,2 east.

    3) Now press TXT-TV on your TV and you will see all is OK.

    4) Goto channel "MTV germany" at 19,2 east (IMPORTANT THAT IT IS THIS CHANNEL) Some others also fail, but this one is good for testing.

    5) Go back to channel "ZDF" at 19,2 east

    6) Now press TXT-TV on your TV again.

We now have a txt-tv signal failure to the tv, that will continue on all channels.

Yes i also wonder why it's so hot.. And i have not even mounted the HDD yet.
Could be interesting to measure the temperature on the capacitors in the power supply... They are at the moment so hot you even can't hold your fingers on them !
Wonder how many living hours there are calculated on the powersupply capacitors with this high temperature ?

    Aha,

But i have just found out some thing new about this txt-tv error.
I have found out that it's channel depending. When it failing it will continue to fail on all channels until you restart Enigma2.
After restart have i found out that many channels are actually working perfect with TV TXT-tv.

But some channels are doing something to the box ?
So when it fail all channels will fail on txt-tv.

Here is what to do for getting it fail:
    --------------------------------------------------
    1) Goto channel "MTV germany" at 19,2 east (IMPORTANT THAT IT IS THIS CHANNEL) Some others also fail, but this one is good for testing.

    2) Goto e.g channel "ZDF" at 19,2 east

    3) Now press TXT-TV on your TV.

Please let me know if you all get TXT-TV errors now !!
    All channels will fail now..

Actually i think it's a software problem, it seems the DM7025 don't clear TXT-TV settings from the earlier TXT-TV channel as you can see it's flashing fast between new and old data ?

So this TXT-TV problem seems not to have anything to do with my picture quality problem.

I can see my new Dreambox DM7025 is generating txt-tv signal so you can press txt-tv on the TV it self. Great feature that was missing in DM7000/7020.

But when going to txt-tv on my TV is it full of errors and can actually not be used for anyting.
Strange thing is also that the upper line in the text-tv is flashing.
Just like i see on the Dreambox's TV picture (not txt-tv). It's like the interference i have on vertical lines (see earlier thread i have written) destroy the txt-tv signal.
I have tryed RGB mode, but same flashing and errors on my TV using txt-tv on it.

So my question is could there be something wrong with my Dreambox ?
    Production error ?

Can it be right that i should have flashing txt-tv text using txt-tv on my tv, even in RGB mode ?
I would like to know if others have the same problem with DM7025
As i have written eariler: i'm not happy with the picture quality in the 7025 compaired to DM7000/7020
The scart cable i use is best quality full mounted.

    Hi, Gaj1

    Thank you for the answer.
I think we can confirm that there is some difference from the old 7000/7020 to the 7025.. In this case the 7025 is not so good on my TV as the old 7000.

I could be nice to have a comment from DreamMultimeada i this case to hear what they have to say about the hardware/software ?

    Regards,
    Niels Moeller

Gaj1, are your picture in RGB mode as bright as on CVBS mode ?

Using RGB mode here will the intereference also go away, but then i get this very dark picture. Even if i adjust the contrast on the TV up to highest level is it still to dark.

Using CVBS mode on the old DM7000 do i not see the intereference problem.

Now i have used my new DM7025 for a week.
But i'm not very happy with the picture quality on the DM7025 compaired to my old DM7000 ?

Are there used some better hardware components in the DM7000 on the Scart output ?
I'm using a top quality shielded flat type scart cable. The TV is a Bang & Olufsen LS6000. I got a perfect nice picture on the DM7000. Both onscreen graphics and TV signals are perfect with the DM7000.

But on the DM7025 do i e.g see som intereference problems on vertical lines. Like the colors are not in perfect control ?
Special on the onscreen menues are there big intereference using vertical graphics.
Using subtitles on my Dm7000 are there NO intereference at all. But they are there on my DM7025
I'm not running RGB mode on any of my boxes. Using RGB mode does the picture go very dark on (contrast), like the signal level from the Dreambox is to low ? (only tryed RGB mode on the DM7025)

What can be done to make the picture quality as good as my DM7000 ?

Do i have to live with it ?

Can it be solved with software or can something in the hardware be replaced to fix it ?

What have Dream Multimedia changed exept Enigma2 ?

    your question
    My question is:

How do i setup my DM7025 so it sends out the DiSEqC motor number signals for the different satellites ?

I also have a DM7000. In the DM7000 software menu can you easy store that e.g Astra 19,2 east should have motor position number "1". And Thor 1W should have e.g motor number "8" and so on. But this function is not there in the DM7025 software ?

Under plugins in the DM7025 Software can you do the DiSEqC motor setup adjustment and store the position number from 1-255 ok.
But this setup is only for the electronic inside the DiSEqC motor it self.
It Does not tell the the Dreambox 7025 what satellites it should use for what motor position numbers (1-255)

I also wondered that it could be that Dream Multimedia have made the motor position numbers on the DM7025 fixed so e.g Astra 19,2 ALLWAYS would have e.g position "1"... And other satellites also there fixed position number.. ?
That could be a reason why the setup of satellite position numbers where not there in the DM7025 software ?

Are the DM7025 motor software non complete yet ?
    HELP
