    I have been away for a while and just got back to find my DB7025 is not working anymore with the Invacom QPH-031. What are the correct settings for the LOF-L, LOF-H for this LNB?

    Thanks!

    Done already. That's not the problem. the DB7025 does not power the line. this motor has an LED that goes green when there is power on the co-ax line. When I connect it to another receiver, it goes green and everyting is fine. I can move the dish east or west or use DISEqC or USLAS. With DB, the LED remains dead as there is no power on the line and none of the "go east" or "go west" buttons work.
    And yes, I have switched the configuration from rcvr A to rcvr B and toggled them between te available options.

    Please provide some information about the hard- and software used.

    Box type: DB7025
    GUI (enigma1/enigma2): enigma2
    Firmware version: latest DM image

    has anybody managed to setup a motor with DB7025? If yes, can you please post the steps that you took? I am trying to setup my GS120 motor http://satelliteav.com/product…ntrollers/GS120_Motor.htm and I am not getting anywhere :loudly_crying_face:
    I would like to have the position location 0 as the 0 point (True South) on the motor and then find and save the other satellites on the other open slots (1,2,3, etc). I played with the positioner add-on and it looks like the basic framework is there, but I don't think that it works properly!?!?!
    Has anybody had success with it?

    No, its the same exat satellite, "Intelsat Americas 5" @97W.

    Two questions:
    1) When you say "services", which files exactly do I need to delete?
    2) Is this the correct approach every time?

    I just used SatcoDx to create a new satellites.xml file and moved it to the DB replacing the old one. I then rebooted the box and scanned the satellite using the new satellites.xml file. I also used "flags=1" in the satellites.xml file to have it network scan the satellite. Is it not the right way? If this is not the correct approach, please explain the process.

    I needed to rescan a satellite as there were new transponders on that satellite that I wanted to add. But when the scanning was over, I ended up with a double copy of all the old channels plus a few new ones. This was not the behavior that I expected. there is no need for the DB to add all the existing old channels to the list and give me a double copy. Instead, it would be nice to ask the user that there are x many channels that already exist on the channel list for this satellite. Do you want to add the same channels again?" and in many cases the user would answer no, which means only add the newly found channels and not the old ones.

    Great, thanks. I am referring to the circualr side of the band 12.2-12.7GHz.

    The LNB has 2Linear and 2Circular ports and each pair C+L goes through a DiSEqC switch. The output of the first DiSEqC switch then goes through a SG2100 H-2H motor and down to a RCVR. The second one comes directly down to RCVR2.

    Right now, the DB is the RCVR2 as I have not figured out how to control the motor with it yet (next step once I am done with scanning).
    So, the DB is not going through the motor and has a straight link. please see the attached drawing.

    I am using the LOF values per the recommendation from "Ghost" here: LNB, Threshold Freq. and also what is mentioned on the data sheet of the LNB and none of them works. I am getting tired of the trial and error approach too :loudly_crying_face:

    As you have mentioned, I am using three different asian made rcvrs with the same setup on any of these two signal ports (with or without motor) and they work fine. Two of them can successfully zip from sat to sat and move the dish and switch from port1 to port2 of the DiSeqC switch when I simply change channel. All I have done is that I have specified that this satellite is on this port and here is its location in sky. I am trying to have my beloved DB to do the same thing :loudly_crying_face:

    So, as a plan B, can you send the link to the vendor, MTI? I did a search and only found a bunch of eBay links in UK.

    Thanks again.

    Great! Now, what is the difference in scanning if any of these 4 flags are used?

    Code
    <!-- useable flags are
    //1 -> Network Scan
    //2 -> use BAT
    //4 -> use ONIT
    //8 -> skip NITs of known networks
    //and combinations of this.
    -->

    This is one of the lines on the data sheet for 7025. Can someone please explain what " full automatic service scan" means? I don't beleive that it is a blind scan as I have tried it several times and it did not produce the results that I expected!

    Yeeeeeeeeehhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! that was the trick. Its working fine.
    Just to be clear if someone else finds this thread later, the string in the config file is "config.av.yuvenabled=0" which needs to be changed to "config.av.yuvenabled=1".

    tmbinc Thanks Dude!

    Now, on to the next challenge! :grinning_squinting_face:

    Well, that's the reason why I am asking. I am tuning onto channels that are supposed to be HDTV, but I am not getting it as HDTV!?

    So, it looks like this is a newer version of the 220 CPU that at a minimum should be able to do what 220 can do. Then why can I not get HDTV channels in HD?

    So, if I understand this correctly, this model is capable of decoding two high definition streams, per the ATI specs, corect?

    <quote>Xilleon 220 is available in two configurations
    -Xilleon 220H is capable of decoding up to two high-definition streams or multiple standard-definition streams
    -Xilleon 220S is limited to the decode of standard-definition streams </quote>

    Thank You so much for the explanation. So, based on your comments, I should be able to use S-Video as I don't want to mess with the hardware of my beloved DB7025 yet. Also, do you know of any component SCART adapters that would take care of the incompatibilities and produce the correct signal for the YUV?

    I tried searching and looked through all the threads that I found. The SCART adapter and component video do not work and all the colors are messed up. I also tried various settings in the A/V settings page and that did not hep either !?!?!?!?

    "tmbinc" is saying that this is designed for RGB. CAn you explain what RGB is good for if it can not be used to display on a TV screen?
