I got a DM100 with a fake serialnumber (according to dream multimedia) but correct mac address.

I got a box that was not working at all, the serial number of the DM100 did NOT match the package box serial number, and even the serial number sticker on the bottom was not correctly put on as 2 of the corners was lose.

I opened a case at dream multimedia and asked if this serial number belonged to a DM100 and got a reply that this box did NOT have a valid serial number.

I was told by one official dream multimedia dealer in Sweden that it does NOT exist any clones of DM100, so what happened with my box?

But I got it replaced anyhow.

I got a confirmation from the supplier I bought my 2 DM100 from that they have a lot of DM100 returning for repair.

So if you are thinking of buying a small Dreambox go for DM600 instead, until it is possible to get some confirmation that the quality has been improved on the DM100 boxes.

I have the same problem on a almost completely new box.
I also took it apart and found capacitor c221 which is in paralell with d202 to only be connected in one leg.
That is really strange if I even did a short circuit for a long time but this was a fraction of a second it should NOT melt the soldering.

Anyone that could confirm that this capacitor is soldered on a working box?
It is on the underside close to the led's.

I got a new WORKING box today, BUT i did some short circuit when putting the connectors on i think.
So now I have NO power out to LNB*s.

I got my dm100 yesterday and was happy.
But not for so long, connecting it to TV I got no picture, red and green led was on.
USB connection to my PC was OK and loader program was connected but no Upload or Download.

Is it bricked out of the box?
Or is there any hope?
