Have you tried TuxvisionR. It seems to work quite well with the smaller boxes.

Also if you post your changes, I can try to put them in as a plugin.

TuxVisionR (and of course TuxVision) gets pes stream from dreambox on port 31337.

You mean the DM7025 does not by default stream out on 31337 ?

If so, that is the problem. If you know which port streams pes, I can change to that. But I cannot check if that will work as I don't have that box.

It seems many people have had difficulty multibooting the Neutrino Dream images. Here is my procedure, if it helps anybody.

(1) Install Microsoft Windows Server For Unix (SFU), free but supported for win 2000, windows server 2003 and XP Pro. Or Xlink Omni nfs server, for other OS.

(2) Install the latest Neutrino Dream on dreambox flash.

(3) Configure the MULTIBOOT section in Flashwizard Pro 6.3 so that this image is shown as the image "on flash".

(4) Install the same image again as image "on multiboot".

(5) Close Flashwizard. Go to the pc folder with multiboot images (for example C:\dreambox\fwpro). Copy the file .....\fwpro\neutrino dream img\var\etc\network\interfaces and edit in your correct dreambox comm settings(ip etc).

(6) Now start Flashwizard again and open MULTIBOOT window. Select the neutrino image "on multiboot" and click on 'telnet here'. There you can telnet to the pc folder to first delete the file ...var/etc/network/interfaces and then copy in your edited file.

(7) Finally, install your favorite image on the dreambox flash and set up Flashwizard with that image as the image "on flash". Select the neutrino image from the "on multiboot" list, and reboot !

Hope this works for you. If anyone needs more detailed description on how to, I will be pleased to help.

Attached is a modified version of TuxVision. If you at present have problem watching tv from dreambox on pc or recording on pc, please try this.

Checked with a DM5620 for kBits/s of above 5300, with wireless lan, no problem. It should also be ok with other dreamboxes.

It is simple to install, instructions in the Readme file.

It seems when enigma is stopped and restarted with telnet, and the telnet console is closed, the tv display stops. But then the http connection does not work (needed for getting a socket). Although ftp and telnet continues to work.

Any idea how a http port can be opened ?

Is there any way to stop tv display while keeping enigma running with a tv channel on ?

The neutrino dreamplus image does it while streaming from the dreambox, and it helps greatly with the smaller boxes. I wondered if I could modify the enigma cvs image in some way to do this.

Any suggestions ?

Hi,

I have modified the plugin so that enigma restart is not necessary for stopping. Just press OK on the remote and select channel.

But this version will not automatically restart playback when there is a break in streaming, for example at the end of a video. You will need to restart the plugin.

It should work for the 500. Also checked OK for the 5620, and probably will work for the others. Please let us know if there is any problem.

Do not forget to rename plugin and attribute !

Try this if the other did not work. Important:- This is a debug version. If you have enigma log facility in the image, please turn it off.

Probably because there are no LCD on the 500...

If you can get debug log (switch in the blue panel for some images) I can give you the debug version of the plugin. There may be a way to make it work.

This function is in apps/tuxbox/enigma/lib/movieplayer/mpconfig.cpp, if I remember correctly. For some reason your enigma build is not picking up the file.
