How to free up some memory in Dreambox 7020?

    Hi!


    I have a problem with my Dreambox 7020. Via telnet I managed to see that I only have about 3 Mb of free memory even though I hardly used any plugins or anything like it. It causes quite a few problems for me.


    I use PLi Image and I was wondering is there any chance for me to free up some memory?

    Hi,
    you have enough memory. Directly after start you should have around 30-35MB of free mem but when the box is running for a few minutes most of the free space is used by buffers and cache. It´s normal.


    If you want to see a more precise information about your box login by telnet and then cat /proc/meminfo there you should see that around 20MB is used by cache and could be reused if needed.
