It would really be a great solution. Just take a PC an put one ore more DVB-S2/S/T/C cards in in. Instead of a TV connected with HDCP use a high resolution XVGA monitor. That way we would have all the functionality of a DM8000.

If this would be realized nobody would buy a Dreambox anymore. So, I do not think Dream Multimedia has a business case for developing this.

I would still buy a STB. I hate PCs under my TV. Need tons of money to make them silent, need efforts to shut it down every so often, need to boot PC after typical resets. No thanks.
