Hi,
I recently bought a new DM8000 which through the authentication process confirmed to be an original dreambox. I also have a DM7000S, which I have had for a long time. I have played with
many aspect of the DM7000S, so I have a bit more then basic knowledge
about dreambox.
I will first start to mention I few things I found odd about the DM8000.
The first time I configured the box before scanning for services, I
found that there was a lot of blank n/a service channels with markers in
German under the favorite-list. The favorite-list stays the same also
when I tried factory resetting it, which by the way also doesn't remove
any plugins, skins, etc.. I have installed or downloaded. I then tried
scanning for services and found the services I could see before with the
DM7000S, and the new HD services. I then tried flashing with an updated
original dreambox image, and after that I tried to scan for services, but I always got 0 services found, no
matter which turner it was (A/B) or how I configured it, I always got 0
services. I then tried factory reset and then scanning services, but
with no luck. I have reset the dish with the DM7000S,
where I am getting a signal above 70%, and all the services when I scan,
but when I go under satfinder in DM8000, the signal jumps from minus 100 to just above 0. I don't know what has happened to the DM8000,
but I haven't done anything else then what I have mentioned, and the
things I did I knew what I was doing. For now I can't do anything else
then return it, I still have the time, but if anyone could help me I
would greatly appreciate it. The turner info for both A and B is:
BCM4501 (internal) (DVB-S2).
