7020si DOA

    Hi everyone,


    I am hoping for a quick and uncomplicated answer to my problem if that is possible. I have a DM 7020si, when I power it up all I get is an orange screen with no logos or writing. It's obvious that there is a problem but can it be fixed? I am happy to send the box away for repair but retailers don't want to know if it wasn't bought through them.Can anyone offer any help with a dealer, or with a DIY solution.

    Do you have a REAL Dreambox from Dream Multimedia ----- or a clone / copy?


    How do you know for sure that you have what you think you have?


    In any case you should send box back to where you bought it from.

    I'm fairly sure that it is an original. I bought it knowing that it was not working more like a project to get it working. I have been playing with it today and something rather strange. I'll keep it short but if I take the case off, take the front off (but leave it connected to the main box), turn it upside down and would you believe it it actually allowed me to flash it ; using Dreamup. What does that indicate? whatever is wrong it isn't serious. Any ideas.!!
