Issues tuning certain channel/transponder with DM 500-C

  • Please advice if I am posting in the right forum, or if I should try to ask this question somewhere else. Thank you.

I have troubles tuning a certain DVB-C channel on my DM 500-C. The automatic scan does not recognize the transponder. On a PC with DVB-C tuner, this channel works fine both with MythTV , linux dvb scanning tools and other software.

The transponder frequency is 177500 kHz and it is not possible to enter this manually. The dialog only accepts entries in MHz, thus allowing to enter only 177 MHz, which is wrong by 500 kHz of course.

I tried to manually enter it in the Enigma scripts, but I did not succeed.

The information I have about the channel so far is:

Obtained from DVB-C card in PC by the linux dvb scan tool:
    WR-TV:177500000:INVERSION_AUTO:6875000:FEC_NONE:QAM_64:529:785:301

By also checking the MythTV database in my PC I figured out the following parameters that I added manually to /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/services:

    ffff0000:012d:0046
    c 177500:6875000:2:3:0:0
    /

    and

    012d:ffff0000:012d:0046:1:407
    WR-TV
    c:000211,c:010311,p:unknown

However, I cannot get a channel lock. It says Unknown channel.

  • I also tried setting the following row in cables.xml and rescanning:

    <transponder frequency="177500" symbol_rate="6875000" fec_inner="0" modulation="3"/>

But it did not find the channel.

Maybe there is a bug because of the 500 kHz offset?
