das ist alles ganz normal bei dmm... und damit's interessant bleibt, werden manchmal auch boxen angekuendigt, die's dann nie gibt... erinnert sich noch jemand an die dm6000?

es lohnt sich heute jedenfalls mehr als noch vor jahren sich umzuschauen und genau zu ueberlegen, ob man eine dreambox kauft.

also als erstes wuerde ich dir empfehlen, einen billigen baumarktreceiver zu kaufen, damit du wieder informiert bist, was in der welt passiert ist.

die settop box gibt an, ob verschluesselt gesendet wird oder nicht... und die dm8000 wird die ausgabe immer unverschluesselt machen, da sie keine hdcp hardware haben wird.

fehlkonstruktion wuerde ich sagen... aber warum behaltet ihr sie dann und tut euch das an????

don't know. for dvb-ip it might work, but i haven't seen a single iptv channel using dvb-ip...

you have to distinguish between iptv and dvb-ip.
and as i said in the beginning... there is no single standard... everybody uses their own...

in usa gibts ein gesetz, dass die cable companies receiver mit ci module (das heisst bei denen cablecard) ab juli diesen jahres unterstuetzen muessen.
allerdings nur kabel... nicht bei sat.

looks like these are all some proprietary windows mediaplayer or quicktime protocols.
if they were dvb-ip they had n encapsulated ts and could easily be played back with vlc etc.

iptv uses different protocols... no standard yet... in many cases it also uses windows drm... so no chance to implement it on linux.
