I must say that i am of the oposite opinion. I really like Barry Allen because it lets me do all my work in multiboot and should i crash the image 1 min before the wife is going to watch TV

Then i just reboot into the flash I do prefer Dream-Elite but Orginal + GP 4.1 is probably the best to have installled into the flash.

There is two ways of doing this.

1. As dre say assign dvb epg to your IPTV Channels using ex DreamboxEdit or E-Channelizer.

Just hold ctrl button and from your sat list to the right drag and drop the corresponding channel into the IPTV Channel and you have both epg ref and picon ref.

2. Use a thirdparty plugin like ex JediMakerXstream to build your bouquets, at the same time jedi creates a epg source in your EPG Import plugin.

Settings for EPG Import should be Load EPG Services for boquets set to "no" same for IPTV

EPG Import works just fine on OE 2.5/ 2.6 if you use gutemine plugin that can be downloaded from his plugin feed.

His version is not updated to support ssl yet due to the git feed for the original OE-A version he builds from have not been updated.

I have attached a modify version with ssl support for those who might have a https epg source.

If my attachment breaks any rules please one of the admins just delet the attachment.

If you dont need https/ssl connection you should stick to gutemines EPGImport plugin.

Yes there are lots of thirdparty plugins that makes the Dreambox run non legal stuff like emulators and so on.

But we cant ask DreamProperty to develope them since the use is in fact illegal, thats for thirdparty developers. and then we have to ask this at thirparty developer forums

And i also know there are a few really good thirdparty developers from Arab country so my suggestion is to google a bit find one of them

and ask if they cant help with such a plugin.

I do understand the need for such a plugin but still its not possible for a company like DreamProperty to help with this because 5 min after publishing such a plugin they would be summen to court

When such a plugin is developed just build it into the image of your choice and pre load your Dreamboxes and sale like butter in the sun

Sat/IPTV/Cabel or terretrial, to get the function you ask for there must be a thirdparty plugin doing this.

I dont now about Dreambox, but i 100% sure this is not a core function in any OE-A build and not in the OE 3.0 Vuplus factory image or any other None DreamOS image.

But if you point us in the correct direction to what plugin is in use then there are more then enough people on this board that probably could convert the plugin for DreamOS also

What you are showing is an android app that does not use Xstream Code standard for IPTV

I assume you are using an App provided/Coded by your IPTV Provider?

There is a common missundertanding of the CI+ licens and its use. As long as you use an external device as for example a "Common Interface" its that device that have to carry the correct legal licens.

Where you put this device does not violate any CI + user licens. Of cause since the latest CI+ protocol also give the option for thoose who have obtained a licens to HW pair so you must use certain provider sold devices does not mean that you are doing anything not legal when you put the Common Interface into any other device. It just dont work and you want get any support from your provider

Well i did not really say it worked to jump but i assume you have some Xstream Code based IPTV and if you add your VOD into boquets you can jump or ff but since you are using them wrong it does not work well and therfore i suggested a thirdparty plugin for playing this kind of VOD or Series.

@octrom Is it IPTV Vods you are asking about? If so then i assume you use either a enigma2 script to create your boquets (Live, VOD & Series) or a thirdparty plugin?

And if so we are now in the grey zon for what can be discussed at this forum due to legal matters.

But if the answer to my question is yes i recommend you get a plugin for playing VOD and Series and only keep Live channels as bouquets

If linux can handle fat32 good then most manufacturers have their own format tool for disks lareger then 32GB

And i have used this software to both format and convert ntfs file system to fat32

Software also format in all other filesystem if needed

Can you deepen what your opinion is based on? Because the test and facts surley point in the direction that if you assign epg to a 4097 stream the cpu load goes up to levels that can damage your box

and also temperature is going very high. Without epg assign both temp and cpu have normal values.

It started as a discussion here at the board, If you assign dvb epg to a stream and use servicetype 4097 or if you add a Youtube live channel and also assign epg to this stream the CPU was overloaded.

I have now done some testing my self and can confirm this. We are talking about 120-150% so this can do some real damage to your Dreamboxes.

It effect both OE 2.5 and 2.6

Open DreamboxEdit and assign some epg save and upload your boquet.

Now when you tune in to the channel you will see a major spike in the cpu load.

Remove epg and the load is almost none. Or set streamtype to DVB 1

If you load the same streams into Kodi or IPTV Player plugin Xstreamity there is no spike at all with epg assigned.

I really hope this will be looked at since its a potential Box killer.

Strange behavior i must say and i must also agree that it looks like epg is effecting this some how, Usual EPG works like crapp for IPTV Streams so next question must be

how do you assign your epg to the Streams?

And how do you build your bouqets?

I see that you have a custom made converter in the skin that is not working proper. It should not print out the line like it does.

Have you try the same test with the default skin?

Hi, why is the CPU load at 4097.0.1 93-104% and at 1.0.1 5-7%, or on channels without EPG the CPU load is just as low?
