    Hi All,
Recently I had my dreambox updated remotely to Openpli, on trying to watch dreambox live app on iPhone 4S I found it will not connect anymore. Please can anyone help me?

The Iphone app is for Dreambox, so for the original DMM licensed webinterface.
OpenPli uses default openwebif, because OpenPli is also for other enigma2 stb's then Dream Multimedia.
What you can do in OpenPli: Uninstall openwebif plugin, reboot and install webinterface plugin (is only in openpli feed for dreamboxes becasue of license type).
At the moment webbouqueteditor plugin is not working on openpli.
So if you want to have all benefits of Dream Multimedia original webinterface, use a image that is OE2.0 based. Like a uptodate image of: Opendreambox(with Geminiplugin), Newnigma, Oozoon, Merlin3, Linsat, LT, Powerboard they all have a uptodate OE2.0 based image. Openpli has their own build (and amazing good development).

How many radio and tv channels use DD+ ?

Does the channels that do use DD+ use the benefits of DD+? Or do they use DD+ with the channels and bitrates of DD ? If so, then why would you use DD+ if the signal is same as DD supports?

What does DD+ has, what DD hasn't:
-bitrate up to 6144kbit/s (is channel with DD+ using that? DD is max 640 kbit/s at 5.1)
-up to 15.1 channels (is channel with DD+ using that? DD is max 5.1)
-24bit bitdepth (is channel with DD+ using that? DD is max 16bit)

    i don't know blue panel
maybe in rare cases, due to reception problems, the recording may contain errors. if you want you can upload your recording or part of it somewhere and i'll take a look.

Bluepanel is just a added on to your Original Opendreambox oe2.0.X image. (Geminiplugin 3.2 from IHAD)

Issue is that the bdremux is waiting (in sleep). Recording itself has no errors (because this sleeping occurs here with all HD recordings that i want to use for burning to BDMV).

If i burn as DVD (data disc) then it all works ok, and also the burning proces. So hardware seems to be ok.

I guess issue is bluray disc remux related.

    Since dreambox-image-dm8000-20130907.nfi :
When I look in bluepanel > information > process
Then i see that bdremux is "sleeping"
See attachment for screenshot of bluepanel info/process/bdremux
When i play the recorded bluray disc with the player, i only have the first 73 seconds (1:13) with plopping sound.

How to solve this so that w got a working BDMV burning process.

I informed at the manufactorer of my multiregion customized bluray/mediaplayer. Because the usa firmware version of that player has a netflix player. I have a older model the Oppo BDP-93eu. This is a reply of Oppo:

    Zitat

Netflix in Netherlands use a newer version of Netflix that is not compatible with the BDP-93EU, only the new models BDP-103/105EU supports this new version used in Europe. The problem is that the European Netflix uses a new version of Netflix that are not compatible with the older US Netflix system in the BDP-93EU and therefore it is not possible now or in future because it has to do with hardware limitations.

I assume that their are more standalone devices who have Netflix playback possibilities, that only works on the older versions of Netflix (like used in the USA).

I think it's too much unwanted DRM & proprietary software stuff that the movie industry forces to use.
So conclusion: keep using P2P & torrent, the movie industrie wants this as we see.
I think it will never work on open source software. :loudly_crying_face:

    Hello all.

I use OpenDreambox OE2.0 on my first generation DM8000. (with GP3.2) i'm a satisfied user. (sort of tester because i also report malfunctions to Dream ticket system to help).

I want to know if someone can help me with finding (or creating if someone can) a working plugin for oe2.0 to stream Netflix to the Dreambox. :winking_face_with_tongue: (a bit like youtube plugin)
This because I read the fantastic news that the movie/video streamservice (legal) Netflix is starting in The Netherlands.
It would be awesome if i can use my Dreambox to view (and more awesome record) a Netflix stream.

I want to buy a dreambox 7020HD, but I have a question about your hybrid DVB-C / T tuner, my cable company sent the two systems in the same cable, I can see both systems with a single hybrid tuner?.

    Thanks for the help.

If your signal provider sends signals with a coax cable, then it's DVB-C. If your signal provider send wireless and you need a antenna, then it's mostly DVB-T.
So whatever commercial crap (marketing) your cable company tells you, if it goes over a coax cable then it's DVB-C. :grinning_squinting_face:
Maybe they mean, channels that are transmitted over DVB-T can also been viewed over DVB-C (and probably also DVB-S2).

I use a CXD1981 hybrid tuner . You select in the tuner configuration if it acts like a DVB-C or as a DVB-T, so it cannot do C & T at the same time.

    Issue solved.
    I use Geminiplugin3.2 on Opendreambox OE2.0.
I installed the swapfile plugin. Activated it (in my case to compact flash).
Manually download crossepg from IHAD website, and install it as local extension. I prevent using xmltv source but use XEPGDB & OpenTV (in my case one from xepgdb and one from opentv).
All working fine, and also see that the swapfile is in use (+- 5 MB, +-7MB in RAM free).

Seriously, their is nothing wrong here with image. I suggest to people who say it's my box who's wrong with not showing crossepg in gp feed:
Reflash your dreambox with oe2.0 & gp, and find out that you got just 37 system plugins in gp feed.
But gp is a bit offopic here. :grinning_squinting_face:

I discover that Gemini Plugin removed is not visable in the feed.(update corrected remove suggestion)
Reason is, it's too risky to use CrossEPG. It uses RAM memory, but their is too less left. It can work for one epg source, but it's too tricky that CrossEPG will fill ram so the Dreambox hangs.

Question to DMM, is it possible that we get a plugin that can make OE2.0 lite/stripped. Like removing language files that you don't need. Removing components option that don't have dependencies at other software components. You know stripping down towards kind of lite version.
Or add a plugin that use storage medium as ram extender (but i realize this can slow down the box a lot).

    Hello all.
I'm a OpenDreambox 2.0 user (with Gemini bluepanel plugin).

    I bought a 2.4GHz wireless usb keyboard/trackball device.
When i bought it in Bangkok / Thailand at Zeer, the seller already noticed, are you sure you want it, because it's a windows only device. At that time i didn't discover same kind of device from logitech, so i bought it. Because i had my windows xp based htpc in mind (self assembled atx pc of 13 years old that just keep working :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: ).

But I still thought, let's give it a try when I'm back in Amsterdam (Netherlands) if it works on my Dreambox DM8000 with OE2.0.

So back in Amsterdam, i connect the device to win htpc, and it works out of the box (plug&play).
I connect it to the Dreambox DM8000 front usb , and the mouse keys are working ! :winking_face_with_tongue:
So the device is connected to the DM8k with oe2.0.0(uptodate).

I wonder how i can get all functions like trackball and keyboard keys working.
When i look in opendreambox . menu > setup > system > input devices
then i see this is added: HID 04d9:2517 and HID 04d9:2517 (so 2 times the same)
I also have the native dreambox advanced remote in use.

When i look in Gemini bluepanel at:
    Bluepanel > Information > Hardware
Then i see this as keyboard and mouse:

    Type: Input (keyboard)
    Name: HID 04d9:2517
    Device: /dev/input/event0

    Type: Input (Mouse) (Joystick)
    Name: HID 04d9:2517
    Device: /dev/input/event1

    Type: Input (Keyboard)
    Name: dreambox front panel
    Device: /dev/input/event2

    Dreambox remote is now as:
    Type: Input (IR)
    Name: dreambox remote control (native)
    Device: /dev/input/event3

Anyone know what to do to get maximum functionality. Do i need to added extra kernel modules, or reflash the dm8000 with oe2.0 and connected 2.4GHz usb keyboard?
And yes i do know it's sold as windows only hardware, but since i experience working mouse buttons on the wireless 2.4GHZ keyboard-trackball, the connection and hardware would be ok right?

    Specs about the wireless 2.4GHZ keyboard-trackball :
    Manufactorer: Macnus
    Model: S-KW256S

If you're starting the mass fabrication of the Goliath, then STOP!

You must be kidding. Who will send in 4k dvb-s3 ... whatever?
It took several years from standartisation to the first commercial broadcasters to support HD.
You can use the same arguments to *never* develop a new stb - there will always be something new coming ' somewhere down the road...

Ok, I must admit, a bit funny to say stop.
But i think you're a bit outdated in what happens these days. :winking_face_with_tongue:

Yesterday h265 is accepted by ITU :

    Eutelsat W3A , AsiaSat 5, Amos-3, Intelsat already did successful testing with DVB-S3 :

Mitsubishi, Broadcom, Cyberlink, Ericsson en Fraunhofer HHI already implemented h265 in their hardware. So why not DMM Goliath? Really It seems logical that they start with DVB-S3 in 2015. (over 2 years already)
I think DReamMultimedia can make a big step forward to the other Enigma2 receiver builders and clones by supporting DVB-S3 (16APSK & 32APSK included) and h265.
