Hi there, I have been a member of this forum since November 2003 and we have been told that the DM8000s is comming soon for over a year now, you say in your post "Now buying another receiver is like quitting in the 11th hour" if you mean DMM 11hours then this could turn into many hundreds of hours, as we say in the UK 'Don't hold your breath' BTW the box I bought cost 270 UK Pounds, which is less than the DM800 is reported to be, I'm told by the UK dealers Approx. 350 UKP.

    Regards..

Hi all, I have now given up with DMM, I have been a loyal customer for many years now, but I feel let down by DMM with the DM8000 not yet to be seen after such a long time, I have just gone out and bought a HDTV satellite receiver from another German company.

I suppose this post will be deleted by the "Forum Police"

Goodbye all, best regards from North Wales (UK)....

if thats the case, then every company must sue the china for the cloning all types of products
those chineese ppl are killing us :(.
STOP BRINGING IN THEIR PRODUCTS ON OUR SOIL

If we were to stop the above action we would have no Dreamboxes at all !!! most, if not all Dreamboxes are made in China...

The best way is to re-flash the box with Dreamup program, of course you will lose all your settings so you will have to set the box up again.

Hi there, I think you have missed the point, this has nothing to do with interactive services, this is about the new UK HDTV Freesat service from the BBC and ITV also I'm sure there is a HDTV service in Germany and other European countries.

I still would like to get some feedback from DMM.

    Regards..

Hi all, there have been over 200 views of this post yet nobody from DMM or indeed any one else has bothered to reply ... It looks like I will have to go out and buy the Kathrein UFS 910, I feel so let down by DMM after being a loyal customer for many years, I have also purchased many DMM receivers for other people..

Best Regards to all ... Welshman, North Wales (UK).

Hi there, if only the DM8000 was to be ready for this new sevice it would be great, however I don't think DMM read this forum or indeed have any of their employees involved in it in any way!! If they did they would know there are a great number of potential customers waiting for a HD receiver.

I have asked many times for info about the DM8000, but I have never had a reply on this forum, other people have tried to ask about the DM8000 only to be told that they are not allowed to ask about the DM8000 .... I guess I will have to look more closely at another German company that has a box on the market for sale right now.

    Regards to all.

    Hi there,
I too am waiting as long as possible before I am forced to buy a HD box from another company... I much prefer to use DMM receivers however posts on this subject don't seem to be answered by DMM for some reason.

Here in the UK our main broadcasters i.e BBC and ITV are to start HDTV early in the new year. I can wait until then but if the DM8000 does not come to fruition by then I will have to look elsewhere..

    Regards, Welshman..

    @ floh & Olove

Sometimes when non-English speaking people write in a language that is not their "Mother tounge" quite often things can be misunderstood, however this does not give licence to rudeness!!!

I am Welsh, and like the German language the grammar of my language is the opposite way around to English, so I realise things can be misunderstood.

I have been using DMM products for many years now and own a dm7000s and dm600s also like many others we are waiting the arrival of the dm8000, we have been told on this board that it will be coming out soon, but I feel that if information is not given out to DMM customers on a regular basis then they are going to look for an alternative HDTV box.

Very best regards, Welshman, North Wales...

Hi, the reason you can only find 7 channels is, there are only 7 TV channels transmitted on this frequency the other PIDs that your echostar finds are data channels.

Take a look at Lyngsat for that frequency.
