    Hi,
I have a problem with my Dreambox 8000.
When it has been turned off (completely unplugged) for about 2 days, and I turn it on, there is no picture on any channel.
When I restart it, then everything works.
(If I keep it unplugged just for one day then it works correctly right after turning it on - the problem occurs from after the second day its been unpowered)

The battery seems to be ok, since it has 3V after the box has been turned off for 2 days.

    What could be the problem?

Both 2SUB and 2LANG will be released for OE 1.6 images as soon as we are done. In meanwhile I recommend you to use a OE 1.5 based image if teletext subtitle is important since being on bleeding edge like OE 1.6 has it drawbacks.

Your post is SO irrelevant. We're talking about BUILT-IN subtitle problems here. Make another thread or something.

    Dear Enigma2 developers,
please fix teletext subtitle problem. Because of bad vertical alignment multi-line subtitles cover the area of almost half of the screen:

If it's too hard to fix the subtitle vertical-alignment, I guess just removing the linebreaks from ttx-subtitles (or replacing them with a whitespace if needed) would be a good start, because line wrapping seems to work OK:

And be aware that in some cases ttx-subtitles can contain three or more lines!

Please don't ignore thousands of international users, who use ttx-subtitles daily, we've suffered enough for a long time already
Otherwise, thanks for your time and for the work you do!

There seems to be some kind of a bug:

Sometimes after watching DVB-S for some time and then zapping to some DVB-T (MPEG4AVC in my county) channel, the picture won't appear. Instead message pops up, telling "tune failed".
Restarting Enigma2 usually fixes the problem.

Any known cure for that annoying bug?

EDIT: I have some more information:
The problem appears if I tune to DVB-S2 HD channel, which I haven't prevously watched, for at least ~15 seconds, after that, when I zap back to a DVB-T (MPEG4 H-264 AVC) channel, it won't be opened... I can fix the problem by zapping to a DVB-S (not -S2) channel for at least ~15 seconds.
After that DVB-T channels are OK again...
This problem is repeatable... so I guess it is some kind of a software bug...

MPEG4 (AVC/H.264) is already been used in many european countries for DVB-T broadcasting, for example in Estonia, Lithuania, Norway, etc.

The DVB-T tuner for Dreambox _does_ work with DVB-T MPEG4.

    Hi,
    i had a DM7000 with working HDD.

I inserted CF card, installed bootmanager and another image onto the card.
Box booted up but the HDD was missing.
I removed boot manager, CF card, did flash-erase and installed image back to flash with DreamUP. But the HDD was still missing

After I turn on the box, the HDD starts to spin up and then shuts ifself down in a second.

HDD is OK - it has been checked with a PC.

I checked the kernel log and there was an error:

    Code
ide0: Wait for ready failed before probe

I searched Dreamboard and came up with these threads:
Problem mit Samsung Festplatte 1204H &
    Festplatten werde nicht erkannt

As my understanding of German language is close to zero, I can only guess what are the suggestions: to cut the first wire of an IDE cable or to use an external power supply. Can anybody please confirm that I understood these suggestions correctly.

Strangest thing is, that this HDD used to work just fine, until I inserted the CF card. Any ideas why it stopped working?
