    Strange.. It's just like with the DM800 where also the first ones popped up out of nowhere... But indeed, it seems like the first DM8000's are available.
    Quite strange though this is in NL and not in Germany... Or did these get shipped from the factory in NL directly to the Dutch distributor? :smiling_face:
    In that case it might be a good thing the DM8000 is manufactured in our little chees-country :winking_face:

    As for the DM800: I don't know. I have received the offers, but never replied to them of course. I am quite happy with my original DM7000, although I have just build a HTPC with DVB-S2, so no DM8000 for me I am afraid...

    But it would surprise me if clones of the DM800 would become available so fast, but.. you never know :smiling_face:

    Well, I also reported an offer I received for clones from China to DMM, but never got a reply, so... I still get these offers, but don't dother to pass them anymore. I don't think they are really interested.
    Even today I got a new offer for clone DM500/600/800 from China. Not that I have any interest in buying those, but still..


    Another problem here is that the German staff seems to have some problems reading & replying to English messages, so.. don't count on any reply here.


    But it's quite easy to get those clones. Last time when I visited China (Shenzhen) for my work, I visited a factory there (I was interested in Single Board Computers & Power Supplies), but at one of the factories I visited, they had DM500 clones running on the production line at the moment I was there.

  • DM8000 - 999 Euro's?

    I heard today, that according to Media-labs (the Dutch importer of Dreambox), that the introduction price of the DM8000 (with WLAN, no HDD, no DVDR) will be 999 euro's (due to increased material & labour costs)


    Is this information correct?

    Well, a forum is not the most logical place to find this kind of "official" information. And this information is also only available to people that can read the German language.

    Ah well.. For me the limit has been reached...
    I sent DMM an email this morning, that I exepct to have my DM8000 by the end of this week, or my money back. Guess what they send me as an answer:

    They received the contracts 2 months ago already. And I received a signed copy from them back 3 - 4 weeks ago or so...
    Well, that's it. I told them to give me back my money before Friday. If they don't transfer my money before that date, it's going to my legal insurance.

    Well, maybe you think it's "normal" to "demand" payment within 7 days and then switch off the communication for 2 months. The boxes were supposed to be deliverd in weerk 34/35 oringally, and we are in week 39 now without any official communication.
