Hello, from a while, I keep my dm800se on a shelf in a closed cabinet under the TV. In theese days, in standby, it reached the temperature of 49°C on main processor. Is it dangerous for the processor? Which is the max working temperature to keep the dreambox safe?
When the dreambox is on, I keep the cabinet usually open, so the temperature inside the cabine is lower, but when it's in stand-by usually the cabinet is closed. Must I incresase the fan speed in stanby using fan-control plugin (in this moment the fan speed is set to one stop in stand-by and three stops when ON)?
    Thanks

Hi, I received the new fan and I assembled it. Now I noticed that this fan run slower than the old one. With 3 voltage steps in fan control, the new fan runs at 2100 rpm, while the old fan run at 2500 rpm. The minimum speed of the new fan ia about 1600 rpm while the minimum speed of the old fan was about 1800 rpm. What does this mean?

    Thanks

I received a new fan from DMM (thanks very much).

Together with the fan there are 4 plastic screws, while in my dm800se the fan is blocked with 4 metallic screws.

Must I use the metallic screws or the plastic ones?

    Thanks

Edit: the fan can only be fixed with the metallic screws...

    Bye

Hi, I bought a dm800se on 17th of decembre 2010. Since then, I noticed that the embedded fan was a little noisier than my old dm500HD fan.
The box is placed on a open shelf just under the TV, I'm sitted at about 3 mt distance from TV and I can hear clearly the noise of the fan running at 2500 rpm (default speed when the box is ON) with the TV volume at 15%-20%. Is it normal or my fan is defective?

My old DM500HD's fan was running normally at 2200 rpm and I could not hear it in the same conditions above descripted.

Hi, I have since march 2010 a DM500HD. I noticed a problem with the long press of stand-by button on remote control (I have the black one): the effect of the long button press is almost ever the same of several short button press.
Is it a software or hardware problem? Is there a way to fix it?
    Thanks.

Please provide some information about the hard- and software used.

Good morning, I have a little issue with my DM 600. The decoder is connected to TV through SCART cable, and to ADSL router through LAN cable (NOT a cross cable).
Dreambox network is ON, DHCP is active. There aren't plugin installed.
    I put the DM 600 in STAND-BY
When my ADSL router is ON, everything works perfectly; but as soon as I turn OFF ADSL router, in max 30 secs the DM 600 sends to TV a video signal that makes th TV switch on Dreambox external AV source (AV2 in my case). So the TV stays on AV2 with a black screen until I switch manually the AV source or until I awake the Dreambox. If i put the Dreambox in stand-by again and the ADSL router is OFF and Dreambox network is active, I have again that strange input.

The problem doesn't exist if the ADSL router is ON, or if the Dreambox network is disactivated.

    What's the matter?
