here is how I do it step by step:

1) I connect the Dreambox direct via LAN cable to my ASDL router with the router running DHCP (I leave it so)

2) After you power on holding the down butten & get the stop:
(the dreambox seems to prefer 192.168.1.4 on my local subnet so I mach sure my other wireless devices down grab that)

3) At my computer connected through WiFi to the ADSL wireless router I open a brower.

In the past when i went to
http://192.168.1.4/ I would get a page where I could follow a link to:

http://192.168.1.4/FLASH

and then

http://192.168.1.4/upgrade.dhtml

But now

http://192.168.1.4/

leads to a page warning if I got this page LINUX isn't loaded

4) So I use the URL cache to go directly to

http://192.168.1.4/upgrade.dhtml

& it brings up the page I want. I browse to the NFI image & clink submit & wait til it uploads & flashes to 100%

5) I go to the DB & recycle power & it does its init stuff. Everything is OK

I have to say after being a bit upset by a very unfinished product that the Dreambox guys are really working hard to get everything ironed out and they're getting there. They are doing a great job.

Finally:

Is you DB plugged directly into your router or not? If you have no wifi; plug the Dream into your router, have the router assign IP via DHCP (It should be automatic if it's set to factory defaults in any modern router, no worries!) or have another computer connected to the router do the dhcp and then you should be able to flash via browser via any PC connected to the router.

Make life easy: run a LAN cable direct to you router & have that router assign via DHCP the DB IP address.

There are also LEGAL Hardware CI modules (ASTON / DVB) that you put your smartcards in...

In this case the crypt SW in located in the CI HW module and licensed by the company who made the CI module. There are no licensing issues whatsoever for Dream MM in this case. Just buy the right module for your smartcard.

Ich bastel mit meine 7025 um mehr über die CI zu lernen. Ich habe noch nicht ein Image gebauen aber mache die vorbereiten dafür.

Im voraus, könnte man mir erklaren wie ist die CI module gebauen? Wie verbind die CI Python Code mit die CI 'C' Code?

Wann ein an Multivision 3 schauen erhalte ich die Fehler Meldung:

Feb 5 21:02:14 dm7025 user.warn kernel: CI cannot write TC_DATA
Feb 5 21:02:15 dm7025 user.warn kernel: CI write error

Ist CI ein Kernel Module weil ich könnte es nicht toten?

Auch wann mann von CVS die aktuel Zustand, auscheckt, wird ein richtiger C -x86-Mips CrossCompiler ausgecheckt auch? Oder sollte ich nutzten die Mips SDT 6.0.3 Lite Toolchain von die Mips Webseite?

Ich habe schon vielen gefunden wie man baut DB 7020, 7000, usw, aber wo gibt etwas nützliches Beschreibung für DB 7025? Ich hab echt neugier jetzt.

Ich habe auch die genaue gleiche Problem! Wann ich in CI Menü schauen sagt es mir Viaccess und Decoding OK (manchmal!) aber keines Bilder / keines Klang. Wann es dass übernacht laufen lassen, noch keine Bilder / keiner Klang und noch schlimmer wann ich nach ein ändere Canel schauen ist oftmals die Sync zwischen Klang und Bild bis zu 5 Seconden falsch!

Es ist doch so Amatuer. Dieser Problemen müsst DreamMultimedia rasch als möglich erledigen. Sie sollte keine mehr Zeit verschwenden mit EPG und Menü kleinikeiten.

Ja, habe ich gelesen jetzt Pro7 strählt in HD (nicht 16:9) aber HD ermöglich ein schauwertig 16:9; aber natürlich 16:9 für die Simpsons macht kein sinn. Also, 2 woche früherner hat die 7025 ASTRA Pro7 HD gefunden und jetzt ist es weg. Wahrscheinlich als Überprüfung vor Pro7 HD aktuel strält. Leider, weil ich eine störender Bilder von Pro7.DE bekommen kann ich mich nicht mit sicherheit sagen, ob dass wirklich wahr ist oder nicht.

Ich habe genau die gleich Probleme bei RTL.DE, SAT.1.DE, usw. Nicht bei Sat.1.CH, Sat.1.A, RTL.A, RTL.CH, BF, WDR (alle), ZDR (alle), NDR (alle), usw. Ich glaube dass ist sicher wegen die haupt Kommerziele Deutscher Sender gehen mit den HD los. Wiesst du, sie wollen dass die WeltMeisterschaft Audience an ihre Strählen gucken!

Ich habe die frei Demo HD Channelen geschauen. Weisst du, wann die Regisseur und Kameramänner mit HD in Gedanknis schaffen, was für schöne Bildern sie machen.

Ich glaube es könnte die Fall sein dass meine 7025 könnte nicht die haupt Deutscher Strählen schaffen wegen die 7025 ist einfach zu langsam die höher Datarate zu bearbeiten. Sicher dass legt in die Enigma2 & Python. Leute dass habe mit Fett Java Programme gearbeitet weisst die übersetzten von Bytecode bewegt sich langsamer als ein Sloth.

Ich hab auch bei Pro7, Sat1, usw Probleme gehabt. Sie war nur bei Pro7.CH, Pro7.A, usw. zu schauen. Weil meine DreamBox 7025 hat so viele und häufige Problem wegen fast alles habe ich gedacht es muss wegen dass sein. Klar ist Pro7.DE ist Dolby / 16:9 jetzt und soll jetzt HD Signale aussträlen. Pro7.CH & Pro7.A nicht.
