How is it going with new boxes?
We have this one for example now

And there will be other boxes with specs like that soon new Vu+ II boxes for example.
DMM really need to release something new powerful as a replacement to DM8000.

I have this problem in Sweden also in the summer (CEST).
There is an option to disable transponder time and use NTP and that works but that EPG is 1 hour wrong anyway.
This really need to be fixed and an option to disable EIT from transponders would be nice.
I am grabbing EPG from internet but it doesn't help because transponders EIT overwrites it with EPG that is 1 hour wrong.

Operators with CI+ activated means that you need a CI+ module and a CI+ slot.
You can use the CI+ module in a CI slot but will only decode channels that accepts CI and that means it accepts the SD channels but not the HD channels.
SD works because many still use old hardware so they can't activate CI+ there normally.
Softcams even if you have a legal cards can't decrypt the channels either because you need to hack a original box and get the hw key out of it when it will work and that's not easy.
Maybe we will see things that makes that easier in the future but it's really bad that people must hack boxes to be able to use what they want with own legal paid card.

You don't know what you talk about. It doesn't work if it's only CI+.
If it works then it's not CI+ yet or maybe using both standards without forcing people to use CI+.
So when they switch to CI+ only you can say goodbye to your HD channels.

problem is that without CI+ you can only watch SD channels soon.
Many operators already use CI+ and because of that you can only watch on SD channels.
And problem with CI+ is that Dreambox won't be a Dreambox anymore to get a CI+ license.
Software must be closed source and recordings etc must be encrypted.
In other words opensource boxes will be dead in a few years.
When that day happens i will stop watching TV.
I will never accept being forced to use a box i don't want to use.

Support for teletext from different transponder when a free tuner is available would be nice too.

The problem with summetime (CEST atleast) need to be fixed first otherwise it doesn't matter.
As it is now i have 100% working grabbed EPG but when i zap to the channels my grabbed EPG is overwritten with transponder EPG that gives me EPG that is 1 hour wrong and it doesn't matter if i use transponder time or use NTP for setting time.
Or atleast we need an option to turn off EIT that would fix my problem.

I really need an option to turn EIT off too.
Ecpecially in summertime (CEST) because EIT is 1 hour wrong then.
The result of tht is tht my grabbed EPG that works 100% is overwritten with EIT that is 1 hour wrong.
That summertime/timezone problem itself is somethng that also needs to be fixed.

Seems it worked thank you but it doesn't seem to help with transponder EPG still 1 hour wrong there.
Is it possible to turn off trasponder EPG and only use grabbed EPG?
Often i have problems with transponder EPG overwriting grabbed EPG and causing problems with timers.
The problem seems to be that Enigma2 thinks it's CET and not CEST.

Not possible to update from net because transponder will change the time again after that.
I will try to manually turn off in settings and see if it works but this need a proper fix.
The problem seems to be with CEST.
Btw why using rdate instead of ntp ?

Would be nice with an option to manually set the time instead of transponder time and/or fix the bug with summertime.
When it's summertime i get wrong time from transponder and need to set GMT instead of GMT+1 (CET).
The result of that is wrong EPG data too because time is wrong and changing timezone doesn't help there.
Seems to be same thing on Enigma1 boxes.
With the original box from the distributor the time is correct so it seems to be something with CEST (CET) that is wrong on dreamboxes.
