Why give me downvotes for a legitimate question?

I am sorry if any developers are offended. That was my intension.

But I cannot think of a use case where anybody would use the current split screen outside of an emergency. I have worked in the webdesign and image editing industry and a picture should always keep the correct proportions...

I thought we all had the same goal. To get the most out of our enigma2 receivers.

So the short answer to my inital question is:

"No, and we have no intention of listening to your request, the plugin works perfectly"

Haha. Don't get me started on the pip function... It is not possible get two pictures side by side using pip...

I want usability. Maybe I am asking too much and will need to realise that the development of the OS is almost dead...

I am not sure I understand your answer. A picture should never get distorted/stretched. In my opinion the plugin is simply broken and almost unuseable in the current state where almost everything is transmitted in 16:9 and not 4:3 like in the past.

Is there any way to get the correct aspect ratio when using the split screen plugin? I know it will give black bars in top and bottom when having two 16:9 channels side by side, but rather that than the highly distorted solution that is being used now where the pictures are being stretched.

Is it the type, MIPS vs ARM that determines if Quad PiP is possible? Or does it have to be a specific SoC?

I have noticed that some GigaBlue and VU+ models have this feature. Why is this not possible on Dreambox?

Is is possible to use DM900 or DM920 with Quad PiP - show four channels at the same time? If so, which tuners are supported and do I need to change image?
