it does work on 7000, even the comp in cdk tree. I had seg fault with some commands, i have not reproduced which commands cause the fault yet. perhaps a wrong options association? -

I just comitted a small fix today to reduce memory use on the ppc boxes a lot, maybe this will fix your segfaults. I personaly tested on a 7020 box and got no problems. Please try it again and tell if its worked or not.
