• yes, but because there are not HDTV channels broadcasted in HDTV it would be maybe a waste of money - better buy a 600 (unless you want the bigger sata harddisk of the 800, and the DVI output off course)

That depends on the country viewer is in.

    it's a plug&play tuner - just change it!

    When I put in dm800 plug&play dvb-t tuner from dm7025 will I be able to watch mpeg4 dvb-t channels ?

  • only if they are broadcasted in your country in DVB-T and not DVB-T2 (which is unlikely, because still under development)

australia sends hdtv via dvb-t for example.

Andrija: nobody said that they do not work...to only question is: is there any h.264 broadcast via dvb-t in your country.

This HDTV Promo channel can be watched with h.264 capable receivers such as Topfield 7700HTCI

My question is: is it possible to take the dvb-t tuner out from dm7025 and put it into dm800 and watch the h.264 broadcast?

  • why don't you try it? what is the problem? you have plug&play tuner. put your dvb-t tuner in your box and make a test. then you will see if it works or not. for shure i can take my tuner and make a test but there are no h264 broadcasts reachable here so it brings not really something for you.

Problem is that i have 500, 600 and 7000 but 800 not yet :grinning_squinting_face: And i dont want to buy it before i have proof that this combination will work for watching h.264 broadcasts

  • humi  Ge0rG Thanks for your suggestion, when i catch litlle time i will personally go to the official dreambox distributor for Croatia http://www.clark.hr/ and ask him if they can test this dvb-t HD issue. I spoke with this firma 2-3 times over the phone and they was allways helpfull, kind and proffesional so i think they will help me with this puzzle...
