Upgrading the egp system, enabeling epg to be downloaded from internet would be a great addon. That way people with rotor would have an updated egp without needing to rotate to the spesific satellite to get a updated egp.

Bei eyetv, zum beispiel, man kann für jeden sender die EPG-quelle auswählen: DVB, tvtv, xmltv oder keine. Auserdem man kann jederzeit die enzelnen EPG-quellen updaten.

Ich hab schon mit dem Programmierer vom LoadEPG gesprochen und er will sowas eh machen, nur hat er keinen Space und keine Datenbank, wo er so ein Projekt laufen lassen könnte und meine Server sind auch nicht mehr aktiv um ihm das anzubieten.
Das dürfte wohl im Moment der Knackpunkt sein.

With a little risk Olove gets mad at me now but....
The function you want is already in two different Enigma2 images made by LT and PP. They made it possible to download EPG from Internet with two different solution so check them out.
I use LT and have full 5 days EPG on scandinavia channels and Sky UK channels.

the best solution is, to bring the hole epg data in a database, from all channels on the big earth.
the next point is, to syncronise the channel settings from the transponders automatecly. so you don't have to make a channelscan anymore.
and if you have all this data, you can programm every recording, switchtimer over this webside on the internet. for example what the lyngbox make. this feature will be very usefull for the dreamboxes too

shure would be great.... but why we dont start small... for example with tvtv.. or tvmovie or something else... where the database for epg already exist....... so everyone who wants can spend some cash for that service.... and has it ....

the problem is, if noone has space for the server part, noone can program on it.
i hope that dream can make here any part and than i think, there will be a posibility for this ideas.
