I think they told one or two years ago that in Enigma2 it is not possible to change the tuxtxt because it is integrated in the main software.

It's the same Plugin as in Enigma1 ported to 32bit Framebuffer.

It was never maintained by DMM, so you have to find a Develeoper out there who is interested to port it again. Good Luck...

Mal im ernst: Ich bin nicht so fit in Sachen enigma. Aber unter enigma1 war der Tuxtext als Plugin angelegt und bestand nur aus zwei Dateien (tuxtxt.so und tuxtxt.cfg). Das Plugin gab es auch als Version mit Caching.

Unter enigma2 wird die Version 1.95 verwendet, die - wie ich glaube hier im Forum gelesen zu habe - von Seddi portiert wurde.

Ist die Version für enigma2 nun noch ein eigenes Plugin und wie funktioniert die Geschichte mit dem Portieren (Framebuffer 32 bit etc.)?
Vielleicht hat hier jemand ein paar Links zum einlesen, wenn auch für einen Noob , dies wohl nicht so einfach ist.

nachdem in verschiedenen fremdimages das caching mittlerweile funktioniert, wollt eich nochmal fragen, ob da keine möglichkeiten bestehen? irgendwer hat mal angeboten, die portierung durchzuführen, wenn er eine eintsprechende box bekäme. also ich würde mich an einer spendenaktion beteiligen, um eine enigma2-box zusammenzubekommen.

please can we have latest tuxtxt with teletext caching in OE1.5 too... it's already in OE1.6 so it shouldn't be so hard to fix...

Are you sure caching is OK in OE1.6?
I've testet an image build on opendreambox/1.6/dm800/experimental/20100621 but still no caching in tuxtxt...
Or do I need more config/setting to have this working like I'm used to for Enigma1?

Yes, tuxtxt works ok with oe-1.6 experimental enigma2. Tested on the dm500hd.

Also tuxtxt is ok with oe-1.5 experimental enigma2 images for the powerpc boxes.
