Another workaround for this problem is that you press and hold the POWER button for 2-3 seconds when the power is removed! Then plugin the power-cable again (without holding POWER Button!). That should also work fine ... the other solution was to remove and plug in power within a second ... or last but not least remove everything for 10+ minutes and then try again. Should work too ...

If your box did not boot up for several days now, I don't think you are talking about the same problem like the threadstarter. There might a hardware problem if your box does not power on anymore and if you have tried the above listed suggestions. In that case the box should always boot again if you removed power for 10 or more minutes, pressed power button and did the unplug->plugin in less then a second trick. The box has a problem when you removed power for a few seconds ... you have to remove it for a longer timer or do it very quick ...
