Hi,

ich habe versucht CVS (später auch OE) auf eine externe Platte zu installieren. Die Platte habe ich in ein Verzeichnis meines Home-Laufwerks gemounted.
Leider bekomme ich folgenden Fehler.

wie ist die platte formatiert ?

sind es die richtigen rechte ?

Da werden anscheinend Hardlinks angelegt, und das geht nur innerhalb des gleichen Filesystems. Also musst Du die komplette Entwicklungsumgebung auslagern.

das filesystem ist fat32 mein home ist ext3. ich möchte schon die komplette entwicklungsumgebung auslagern. evtl. versuche ich es auch mit einer VM.

In FAT gehen keine (Unix) Links, und du hast auch andere probleme wie Linux filenamen,... das wir also so nichts werden

This being Linux, it is of course possible to get around FAT's limitations. You could create a huge file on the FAT disk, make an ext3 file system within that huge file, and mount it using the loop-back device.

I solve the problemThanks for helping. by using a VM. So I can use the CVS and OE where ever I want. Thanks for helping.
