    Wer nutzt die Box nur FTA und wer schaut auch PAY-TV auf seiner Dream


    Denn wenn wirklich so viele nur Pay-TV sehen dann dürften die Verkaufszahlen der -T Tuner so klein sein dass sich die Entwicklung nie rechnet

    Man muß aber auch offen zugeben das durch die Restriktionen der paytv anbieter es auch keinen spaß macht mit deren Empfänger zu schauen :winking_face:

    PAY & S. Kaufargument bei mir war aber vorwiegend Linux und natürlich die Option mit geeignetem Abo auch PAY TV zu schaun, so einfach.

    wobei die Anzahl von 5 Stimmen wohl nicht sehr aussagekräftig ist.
    Und die User die nur FTA und Antenne haben spielen evtl wenig an der Box herum und sind deshalb nicht hier anzutreffen

    also ich schau damit mein paytv. ich meine, wer mal auf ner paulebox sich ein buli spiel auszuwählen versucht hat, weiss wie benutzerfeindlich ein userinterface sein kann :winking_face:

    früher Pay, aber Paule hat kein gutes Programm mehr, das es sich für mich lohnen würde. Außerdem ist meine TV Gewohnheit extrem kürzer geworden.

    For me it is pay-TV on DVB-T (KPN Digitenne for EUR 9.95/month with Conax CI) plus FTA on DVB-S. This combination offers me a super package which is better then any single provider offers.


    The great thing about the Dreambox 7025 is that I can combine it in a single receiver and put the DVB-T and DVB-S channels intermixed in a bouquet list.


    To me the tendency of pay-TV providers to force you to use their receiver is a horror. I would like to combine the receiver I like with the TV programs I like. This is for me the main reason I drop UPC cable TV. One can only watch it with the UPC MediaBox supplied by UPC. It is a horrible receiver in which one cannot even put the channels in the order one likes, and which makes several restarts a day due to bugs. If hacker software would have been available to watch UPC DVB-C on the Dreambox I would perhaps have chosen UPC DVB-C instead of KPN Digitenne DVB-T. Paying for the smart card is fine for me, but I would like to use it in the receiver I like.


    I also would like to watch in Holland Swedish TV (because I have worked in Sweden). I am considering getting myself a Swedish ViaSat smart card which I will register at the address of a former Swedish colleague. ViaSat connects their smart cards to the serial number of their receivers, so a Dreambox with a NDS CI modules does not work. If I want to use my Dreambox I need ....... (which I am not allowed to discus here). Again, paying for the smart card is fine for me, but I would like to use it in the receiver I like.
