DM 900 UHD boot Problem

    Greetings to everyone, thank you for welcoming me. I have a problem with my DM 900 UHD: after corrupting firmware in the third slot, it doesn't allow me to load new images, only the old ones.

    Vielleicht verstehst du jetzt mein Kommentar im anderen Thread, warum ich es KEINE gute Idee der Open* Jungs und Mädels finde den Leuten Anweisungen zu geben den Read/write Schutz des Flash zu deaktivieren und dann mit dd was drauf zu schreiben


    Ich wurde zwar gebeten keine Musik aus den 80ern mehr zu posten, aber die Lyrics der Anfangssequenz und die Autoraserei im Dunkeln sind einfach zu passend hier um es Euch vorzuenthalten

    load an old one and then update the flash scripts. after that you can load new ones again.

    also bei mir funktioniert der flash script update.

    deswegen habe ich da ja auch meine loesung des problems beschrieben, wozu auch gehoert, dass man die flash scripte updated. denn ohne konnte ich weder dreamos noch open images flashen.

    Ist doch schön mit Open Source und tollen Communities wo jeder Commit ja "ausgiebig" reviewed und getested wird, wenn man nach 2 Jahren immer noch Flash Scripte "aktualisieren" darf - was eigentlich die fehlerhaften durch die alten ersetzt.


    Die DreamOS Teams haben das Mitte 2023, also ein "kleines bisschen" schneller geschafft :winking_face:

    dream ist halt nur ne randgruppe mit niedriger prio bei open.

    Bei > 2 jahren ist das keine Randgruppe mehr sondern Bodensatz, aber es lässt Ihre Argumente trotzdem sehr alt aussehen.

    verstehe den satz nicht. aber egal. wenn man open will, sollte man eh auf mainstream hw wechseln... z.b. vu+.

    also wenn VU+ der "Mainstream" ist ... kein Kommentar ...
