Python kann man als "Fachfremder" relativ einfach erlernen. Wer jetzt beginnt, kann pünkltich zum Wechsel auf 3.0 " fit" sein..

Genug OT, nach dem erfolgreichen Flashen des Universal Images auf meiner Two, bootet die Box nicht hoch. Sie verbleibt in sich abwechselndem grünen und schwarzem Bild. Strom Aus & An und die Erstinstallationen kann vorgenommen werden. Drei Mal getestet.

Dann bin ich zu doof. Ich frickle seit Jahren in Python Codes mehr schlecht als recht rum - manches funktioniert, manches nicht, manchmal ist alles kaputt

Und wenn man die verschieden Klassen im Code und deren Zusammenhänge nicht versteht wird es richtig kompliziert

Und ich bin soweit davon entfernt ein komplexeres Plugin selbst zu erstellen, dass man vielleicht auch noch veröffentlichen kann wie Jules Verne vor der ersten umgesetzten Reise zum Mond.

Was meinst du wohl, weshalb VTi ein "privates Hobbyprojekt" mit Sitz in Mexiko (siehe Impressum) ist und offiziell nichts mit VU+ zu tun hat?

Der Vergleich mit einer in Deutschland ansässigen Firma hinkt da etwas.

Linux99, I agree with a lot of things you tell, but here... you are wrong,

We just done our homework, some teams then were happy to get our experience and help, so we have now an unofficial OpenPLi image, and the OpenATV, OpenBH, PurE2 images out with the Audio working for DreamOne/Two (still have some things to sort out like s/pdif audio, synchro)...

No leaks from DMM, nothing... just Japhar's Team Homework, resulting to have some DMM guys upset as they swear we would never be capable of doing it, as well as openatv would never too... too bad... and some other teams who wanted to set aside some guys (because they could not steal our work and claim it's theirs as not public)... who "banned" us (Japhar & Co) and various teams, last one to be after PurE2, OpenSPA is OpenATV... we are really laughing so much. That's not a way to be friends again... sorry Alfa logic is not working... get a Sigma mind instead.

Our real goal is just to be able to use well our extremly powerful DreamOne and DreamTwo boxes (Android AMLogic/53k DMips), and hopefully soon also the DreamSeven. That's where we gain having fun using our hardware... other things we just don't care... bad mouth doesn't get things moving forward and positively.

A developer's replied in 2020 :

The very old version of gstreamer that they use (dream os ) ....

opensource images, they use the latest versions available in the "gstreamer source, such as openvision images, or openatv version 1.17.1.1, while they are completely backward using old versions (1.6.4) and their argument is that it is a stable version...!!!!

- Also, the internal player has an old "eplayer", and their codes have not been renewed, only updates so that the hardware fits the new devices and not to fit the new formats to streaming, they make it depend on gstreamer only ... If the eplayer developed in open source cannot play the latest formats, it must use external players such as "gstplayer" and "exteplayer3", what about the undeveloped multimedia player...So this is the problem of "gstreamer" in their images and it was discussed with their developers by some developers of other teams and some users since the release of 800se to the new versions and they are their answer (we use stable versions...!!) Even the official vu team, which is similar to the DP team, has kept pace with development and uses the latest in its sources...Unfortunately, DP from the past (they produce powerful devices, but the support is bad, they only look from an aesthetic point of view, nothing else ... form, menus, skins, and animation, but from a practical and streamlined point of view, especially with the new progress in the IPTV service, it lags behind in the full sense of the word)

well, it makes a big difference if you develop code as a hobby or whether you have to maintain stable code for a product in the field. but i agree with you: dp could be a little more innovative on the functional side. gui is nice, but should not be highest priority.

For sure, this good faith was capitalized by nearly anyone. But it is also correct, that some things are better in the Open* World.

The reason DP made enigma2 available was, to also benefit from the work of others. But it looks like it did never happen...

Sometimes I don't understand why. But, meanwhile I think the code is mostly not compatible anymore, so taking something from Open* progress is not very easy or impossible.

Mit dem e2 4.5 unstable Image hatte ich diese nicht.

Noch ein kleines Ding…. AIO in Flash, Gutemine Feed 3 und Alan-Turing installiert. Netzwerk in AIO 192.168.178.155. Starte ich über Alan-Turing ein beliebiges Image dann steht das Netzwerk auf ‘dhcp’ 192.168.178.69 (in meinem Fall). Warum? In alle Images war 192.168.178.155 eingestellt worden…

und wie verhält es sich ohne @ ?

Im Flash geht alles bestens. Auch nach viele neustarts immer das gleiche (richtige) IP.
