Webinterface nicht ausführbar ?

  • Hallo

    Http Port : 00080 https Port; 00443

    404 - Keine solche Ressource"

    Wo ist der Fehler?

    Vielen Dank für einen Tip.

  • /80 ruft eine Unterseite 80 auf. Die gibt es nicht. Also alles korrekt. Das gibt einen 404. Auf was genau willst du zugreifen?

Da musst du dann aber schon wissen was du einstellen willst.

  • As you turned on Authentication, it is likely that you use a week password.

But it might also be due to an intrusion in you local network, WiFi, VPN or alike, as you disabled authentication for those connections. So you should also check the security of all the devices on your network.

Generally it is not recommended to open the Webinterface to the public. Any default home router will not do so, so you probably changed something on that side.

  • If you have the port 80 open in your router it's better to use portforward so setup for example port 6957 to point to port 80

Do the same for default https 443 port and and use a random port and point to 443 in your router

Than from the outside just add :6957 to the address you are using. This of cause is not bullet proof but at least keeps the less skilled one from

    Hacking you.

But as m0rphU say. To have the webinterface open public is strongly not recommended

Everything in life that's any fun is either immoral, illegal or fattening

  • It doesn't matter if you open 80 or 6957. It might just take a bit longer until someone uses it to access the box.

  • port forwards are usually configured to an IP address. So, I don't think that's the root cause.

  • If you have ports open, use filesharing and so on, I bet you have some bot or other malware in your network. So please, please check ALL devices, reset any device that shows anomalies and change ALL(!) passwords!

As written before, you have no protection for connections from inside your network to the box. By default there is also no password protection for Telnet and other root acces with the DM900. Additionally the Box is using a stripped down and partially outdated Linux system. So it is really likely that any malware on another device of your network could extend to the Dreambox.

However, in such a case the Dreambox would be the least of your problems.
