  • just let it be, the plugin is a nice have but you don´t need it all, stop enigma2, open /etc/enigma2/config in a text editor i.e. joe and delete the entries that are not in use, save the config file and start enigma2, you are done

  • Hi.

It seems that not all settings can be removed.

I recently manually edited my unicable.xml to add the unicable matrix I currently use, which was not present.

Your plugin showed me the presence of three no longer active entries linked to the previous tuner configuration.

Although I have tried several times to remove them, the entries are still present, without any errors being displayed (the same with v1.0.7)

Is there any chance of getting a log of the operations to understand where the problem is?

Here is a screenshot of the affected entries:

BTW, here my update for italian translation based upon v1.0.8

    Thanks!

  • I don't know, why you can't delete this entries.

This entries are really not active settings?

This i can test only, if i have the same entries (perhaps i will create this manually in my settingsfile).

If this really unused entries, you can try to stop e2 from the console (systemctl stop enigma2) and delete this entries manually from the settingsfile (/etc/enigma2/settings).

After deleting and saving the settingsfile you can restart e2 from the console (systemctl restart enigma2).

After this you should test in the plugin, if this entries listed again.

  • Hi.

Yes, those entries were not active settings.

I removed them manually, restarted enigma2 and all is working fine.

Now the plugin doesn't show the entries anymore, they have been removed.

The mystery remains as to why it was impossible to remove entries from the plugin, either by selecting them all or by trying to delete one at a time.

    Anyway, thanks for everything!

    Have a nice day

  • Spaeleus

Can you recreate this entries to test with a new version of settingscleaner?

I think, i have found the reason, why this entries can't delete.

Currently the plugin ist limited to delete a config with max. 6 sub-values of a config-entry

    Your entries have 7 sub-values.

    config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.1.unicableLnb.manufacturer

    sub-Values: Nims, 0, advanced, lnb, 1, unicableLnb, manufacturer => count = 7

  • Sorry I'm late, I was watching the Sweden-Italy curling match at the Olympics...

    Success!!

Now the settings have been deleted perfectly, both with a single removal and with multiple selection.

    Perfect!
