New version of DM500C DVB tuner? (7d)

    Please provide some information about the hard- and software used.

    GUI (enigma1/enigma2): N/A
    Firmware version: 1.08

    Just recivied my new Dreambox 500C.
    Played around a bit with different firmwares and dists and discovered that the driver for the DVB-C module did not load because my the revision of the module is newer than what the driver supports.. :thinking_face:
    This is regardless for distrubution...

    So now, my box is sitting rock soild in a corner, just producing heat...

    I see two ways out.
    1.) Hack the hardware and change the id to 7c. (How)?
    2.) Fix my own kernel with a pached driver...
