I have an issue with the DM520HD that does not allways work on AAC chs. Specifically we have Optus Sports on Optus C1 @ 156E that will not allways open the audio on some chs, If the audio is music it is fine, but commentry etc and it cuts in and out sometimes working for a couple of minutes then no audio.

I have a DM500HD and DM8000 that has no problem with the audio on these services.

When there is music content the Audio is fine. as soon as you change to a channel with sports commentary the Audio clips or disapears intermetently.

I have tried numerous TVs and inputs with no success.

As you are not using a DMM Image you should not ask on this board for a solution.

Sorry I should have clarified it, This problem also occurred if I use the genuine Dream multimedia image with a card or with a 3rd party image. Which I installed to see if it was an image issue. Sorry if I am breaking the rules here and upsetting the people

It is a problem with this specific model either hardware or driver issue. The image used is irrelevant.

I have contacted Dream Multimedia direct for their feedback.

I have still been unable to resolve the AAC audio isue on my DM520. as per above.

I am very disappointed in the current status of Dream Multimedia support. I have contacted them through their website via email several times and received NO reply even though a ticket number was generated.. I also made a general enquiry via the home page and again have not received any responce.

This is rather sad considering I was the offical Australian distributor for their product until a couple of years ago when they changed the requirements for minimal orders to an uneconomical figure and moved their distribution arm to a 3rd party in China. I believe many euro resellers also abandoned Dream sales because it became to uneconomical to sell their products.

Much of the German staff I knew and became friends with have now left or ben made redundant.

I am sorry to rant on this open forum but I have no choice. I love and support Dream Products over the last 15 years. If my above experience is any indication of how the compabny is now run. and how you treiat your clients. no wonder people are moving away to other brands who now provide the same features.

All I am after is someone to at least aknowlede the issue I am having. It does not show up on the DM7080 or DM7020HD and the earlier Dreamboxes work fine as well. .

I do a recording on the DM520 and it plays back on the unit with the same issue. BUT if I play the same recording as a .ts file on a PC etc it is fine.

The DVB standard should be the same world wide,

The first .ts file is aprox 20sec and if you play it through a DM520 the audio issue occurs. if you use any other media it is fine.
