Oe 2.5...

    few problems with dm7080 NN2 OE2.5 (Dream OS 4.3.0r22-2016-11-22),
    yes someone will say that is wrong board, but i believe they haven't touched that parts


    1.
    Wrong time(+1h) for most GMT+2 Time zones, only Jerusalem gives correct time,
    guess that can be connected to daylight saving.
    Also would be nice this menu section Could show Time without several exit to able check result after change timezone.
    and chose from the list would be more user friendly than present left-right


    2.
    After Deep Standby box starts without network connection, but after Power Off/On or Reboot all OK
    problem started several weeks or month ago on OE2.2

    how can i install multiple packages together on OE2.2 and higher?
    previously i were able Cpoy-Paste several lines all together to telnet console, but now i have to paste each line separately :frowning_face:

    1. No problems here with TZ; everything ok. i have timeserver here the local ip of my modem
    2. After DS/reboot etc. always network connection here. I have dns here the local ip of my modem
    3. To install packages A B and C, just do (in OE 2.5)


    Code
    apt-get install A B C


    or copy them to /tmp and in CLI


    Code
    cd /tmp
dpkg -i A B C

    Or in your case:

    Code
    opkg install A B C


    So enter at one line the packagenames separated by a space

    spent my time and installed dreambox-image-deb-dm7080-20161208.tar.xz, problem with Timezone is exactly same
    for my (GMT+02:00) Riga system time is one hour forward also few other GMT+02:00 have the same case


    i changed Timezones one by one by step right in GUI and there is result in console -
    first is default GMT+1 and next all GMTs+2


    Ah MartiniB, I think I know what you mean. I live in a timezone which was normally GMT+2:00 (zone="Europe/Istanbul"). However for the first time in Turkey they did not switched back to wintertime (in october) so the TimeZone is here now: GMT+3:00. When I select in image the same zone (zone="Europe/Istanbul), then the time is wrong. I have to set it to "Bagdad-zone", then everything is ok. This is NOT a DMM image issue, but it is wrong at the time servers. In other software I have also to adjust the time zone to Bagdad to get the right time.

    Timezone problem:
    don't think it is somehow connected to timeservers, they give GMT zero(UTC) time
    also system time isn't synchronized to timeserver's time each second while i changed Timezone in GUI


    this problem came with OE2.5, instead network problem came in last month's OE2.2 and migrated to OE2.5


    no Network connection problem:
    after 8 hours dm7080 in Deep Standby(two not enough to repeat)

    Da sich seit Anfang Dezember immer noch nichts seitens DMM getan hat hole ich das Thema noch einmal hoch. :winking_face:


    So sieht es immer noch aus.


    Und es fehlen auch immer noch einige Sonderzeichen! z.B. * und #

    So ist es für mich und andere User nicht zu gebrauchen.




    @OoZooN hat die VT in seinen Image ja auch kurzfristig angepasst.



    Also seit doch bitte so lieb und passt es im DMM Image beim nächsten Update mit an. :smiling_face_with_heart_eyes:

    @schnubbel ich habs mal angepasst und Reichi gegeben ,nur wie schon gesagt normal sollte das eine weggehen wenn man das andere wählt und das kann man nicht im skin machen sondern das müsste Softwaretechnich gelöst werden und das wird denke nicht einfach mal so gemacht werden können und daher denke auch seine Zeit brauchen .
    Wenn DMM das mal lösen möchte werden sie es sicherlich machen,vorerst hab ich das erstmal so geskinnt für den Systemdefault und mal sehen obs DMM einbaut oder mal ändern kann.
    PS. ich habs aber nur im Systemskin angepasst bzw. das Keybord in der system_default (da dieses dort für alle sitzt) das andere ist Sache der screens im Automount bzw. so wie es die anderen skins geskinnt haben.

    Wie kann man eigentlich die Systemzeit unter OE2.5 setzen
    Unter OE2.2 war es /usr/bin/ntpdate ptbtime1.ptb.de/usr/bin/ntpdate ptbtime1.ptb.de


    ntpdate gibt es aber nicht mehr unter /usr/bin

    Sorry aber ich hab grad eben nachgesehen und das stimmt einfach nicht.
    Zum einen ist # sogar auf deinem Screenshot sichtbar (3 reihe von oben, ganz rechts)
    Und Zum anderen ist der * unter "shift" verfügbar.
    Das Ding ist einem "echten" Keyboard nachempfunden auch in seiner shift/non-shift belegung...
