  • if nothing else works, use dreamup for flashing your box

  • If someone has this problem on the original Dreambox 800se after inserting the wrong image resolution is as follows:

    - Download latest original firmware for your dreambox

    - Connect the dreambox via usb

    - Connect the dreambox and the pc via ethernet to a router

    - Launch dreamup and choose extras / recover bad sectors

    - Choose the port com of your dreambox <=> PC

    - Select choose network and fill IP address of your pc and dreambox

    - Click on connect

    - Power on the dreambox

    - When ready, launch firefox (Not IE 11 else it won't work)

    - Type IP address of your dreambox

    - Choose firmware upgrade

    - Browse to your original firmware and choose flash

    - Wait for the flash to finish

You can check "restart after flash" but it won't work, so after the flash, just power off the dreambox and power it on[/B

When flashing via dreamup you probably should activate the "recover bad flash sectors" option somewhere inside dreamup. Maybe just a bad sector inside the flash memory, should not hurt anyone once it got markes as "bad" by dreamup.

If you flash via dreamup make sure you use one of the last images found on dreamboxupdate.com and flash it with "bad sector recovery"
