I am just wondering why Dream Multimedia has not worked on creating a DVB-C/T/T2 Hybrid tuner for the DM7020 HD. Vu+ already has one on the market for all theirs, so it would be nice to know, when i could give my DM7020 HD V2 DVB-T2 support. In Denmark, all terrestrial HDTV is transmitted over DVB-T2 and as i understand it, then DVB-T2 is also on the way in Germany, Dream Multimedia's own backyard.
DM7020 HD: Why still no DVB-T2 tuner?

Nope DVB-T2 is not usable in Germany as we'll use HEVC (H.265) not H.264
-
The HEVC (H.265) decoder will be in the main processor of the box, not in the tuner. So a DVB-C/T/T2 Hybrid tuner for the DM7020 HD would also work in a future HEVC-Dreambox.

May work, not would also work...
And your answer doesn't help him as he asked for a DVB-T2 tuner for the 7020HD and my answer was that it is not usable in Germany as we don't use H.264 for DVB-T2.
So DMM may or may not release a DVB-T2 tuner soon. -
dvb-t2 is backward compatible with dvb-t so it would be usable in Germany.
Only if DMM wants to loose its customers in other markets it should keep pushing dvb-t tuner.
