Converting Chinese Titles to English Wordings in EPG

    Hi All Experts,



    I just recently realized that my Dm500c are able to convert the
    Chinese titles of all the Chinese program to English wordings in EPG. But my
    Dm7020Hd V2 is displaying those wording in rubbish format. Wonder why is it
    so? Is it because my Dm7020Hd V2 has got
    no Chinese selection in the Language Setting? Could you guy experts help me to
    program my Dm7020 to display the Chinese titles to English. Please help!

    I had made a comparison between Dm7020Hd and Dm800Hd, and found the followings,
    1.0 /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/Converter/
    1.1 DeliteAnalogic.py - Dm7020 do not have this file
    1.2 DeliteAnalogic.pyo – Dm7020 do not have this file
    2.0 /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Delite/ - Dm7020 do not have this folder and the following files
    2.1 DeliteEpgPanel.pyo
    2.2 DeliteEpgSearch.pyo
    3.0 /usr/lib/enigma2/Components/Converter/ - Dm7020 have this folder
    4.0 /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens
    4.1 DeliteAnologic.py - Dm7020 do not have these files
    4.2 DeliteAnologic.pyo
    5.0 /usr/lib/python2.6/encodings - Dm7020 have the followings files too,
    5.1 big5.py
    5.2 big5.pyo
    5.3 big5hkscs.py
    5.4 big5hkscs.pyo
    6.0 /usr/share/fonts/ - Dm7020 has this folder too,
    7.0 /usr/share/zoneinfo/
    7.1 Hong_Kong - Dm7020 has this file in Asia folder
    8.0 /usr/share/dict/ - Dm7020 do not have this the followings files, totally empty.
    8.1 channels.au
    8.2 channels.it
    8.3 dictionary.it
    8.4 dictionary.uk
    8.5 & other files


    So all of you experts please tell what I should do to make it able to convert the Chinese titles in EPG to be converted to English words.
    I had bought this Dm7020Hd V2 at Steg Electronics AG in Switzerland on 6th Nov 2013, I started using it only very recently as I needed to lay extra Cat6 and antenna cables before I can use it. So Experts from Dream-Multimedia, please help me. I am very willing to pay for the extra cost for this feature.

    Dm800 and Dm500, both are able to convert the Chinese titles to English words in EPG. Dm 7020Hd V2 is even a much better set than the same, I don’t see why it can’t perform this function. Dear Mr Ghost, Reichi or any other Experts please help me!

    sorry for answering wrongly. In Dm800 the image is Dream Elite BlaskHole and Dm500 is PLi.


    I had been thinking, could be the EPG downloading's site of Dm800 and Dm500 are different from Dm7020? If it is, how to check and change the downloading 's site to the same one as Dm800/Dm500?

    Ask for your DreamEltie Junk Image and their Panel support in their board.


    As they are mainly building images for clones they don't offer v2 box images so asking here why and blaming the developers is a little bit ignorant.


    Both EPG downloading and translation is no standard Functionality in DMM images so why should they help on this subject ?

    I had a Dm800 and Dm500 that are translating the
    names of the Chinese programs to English automatically in EPG. I don’t understand
    why Dm7020Hd v2 which is more advance could not do this?



    Could it be the downloading of the EPG is at a
    different site?

    The original Dreambox images don't have this feature because the use of the Google translate API is very expensive for commercial use.


    Your other boxes have another - non original Dreambox - image with this feature, which maybe is not legal. You can install this image on your DM7020HD but you will not get any support here for this image and this feature. You should ask for help in the forum of the non original image.

    As you had advice, this is an image problem. So I install
    the same brand of images which is Dream Elite from my Dm800. I had spend 3 hours
    searching and configuring it but unsuccessful.



    Therefore, I guess it is confirmed it’s not the
    image problem. And I also suspect it’s not the lack of Google Translate
    feature, I don’t think developers from Newnigma or PLi would spend this sort of
    money for their images that comes FREE FOR EVERYONE. So I can only conclude
    that it may be some missing program files that is not install in my Dm7020Hd v2
    which is from Switzerland.





    Experts from Dream-Multimedia, I am willing to pay
    extra for this missing program files, PLEASE HELP!

    I guess you understand NOTHING what I've said and I never said that this is an image problem:

    If you don't know if the EPG of your channels has more then one language or not it's your problem. If the EPG has only one language you can only translate the EPG. If the EPG has more then one language you can set the preferred EPG language inside the image. That's all.

    The EPG in my Dm7020 has 2 languages, English and Chinese, if I am using Newnigma2 v4.0.9 image, Please teach me how to go about setting the prefer language to English?

    there isn’t much different except there is an extra language, “ tha ISO8859-11 “.
    The rest is almost the same and there are a few extra sentences at Dm7020. They
