I don' know that software but I think the problem is in the new path. You can do it by hand in this way:

connect by telnet session to the box
mount -o rw,remount /boot
replace by FTP the jpeg picture on /boot (with the same name!)
mount -o ro,remount /boot
replace in /usr/share/dreambox-bootlogo the mvi files with your custom files
reboot the box
