DB 7025+ Dead

    Hi all,


    I am new here so please be patienece with me! I am just after buying a 2nd hand 7025+ with a 400 GB pre installed hard disk.


    When I received it and wanted to check the functionalety but the box does not give any sign of life - the hdd deos not start to spin, no LED flashes or lights up and nothing happens on the display.


    Contacting the seller and he gurantees me that the box worked fine - just befor sending it he obviusly deleted recordings and resetted the box to manufacture defaults.


    I have another 7025 (no+) avalible - can I swap the power supplys no problem to see if the power supply unit is faulty / got broken? Guess they are similar - al least they more or less look the same!?


    Also the 7025+ I received has one small difference compareing it to photos I found on DB web site: the O/I switch and the power cable plug at the back of it are positioned vertical (above each other) / not on a horizontal (beside each other) - pls see photos below? Are there 2 different versions models? The box has a - what seems to me like an original - hologramm DREAM Sticker at the bottom of and it has been supplied with the original invoice back from 2007 so I don't think i have been sent a plagiat!!??

    So if the box does not give any life of sign (no flashing, no clicking no HDD noise - nothing) would this normaly indicate that the power supply must be broken?


    And can you or anybody else say anything about the difference of my boxes order of I/O switch and the power supply socket and the photos I found on the DB web site - pls see again photos above: 1st one is from DB (switch and plug are side by side) - second one is my box (one superimposed on the other). Am just curious to know if mine is genuine?
