playing the stream.m3u file with VLC

    Hello,


    I would like to watch TV from the Dreambox 800 on my computer. However, when I use VLC (version 1.1.6) on Win XP, I get the following error:


    VLC is unable to open the MRL ....
    (the error message is attached).


    Is there a VLC plugin which I need to install? Likewise, I had the same problem with VLC in Ubuntu 10.10
