Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0 and 7000-DMIPS-CPU
The Dreambox DM7080HD sets new technical standards for the reception of digital TV and radio signals via satellite, cable, antenna and internet: Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0 as well as a 7.000 DMIPS dual core processor are among the outstanding features of the Dreambox. The DM7080HD, developed by Dream Property, will be available as of October 2014 with a plug-in DVB-S2 twin tuner as well as two additional tuner slots. The RRP is 790 USD.
The DM7080HD combines the proven and reliable Dreambox functionality with the most modern TV reception and IT technology available. The Gigabit Ethernet interface ensures a smooth and fluid reproduction of streamed HD contents. The optional 3.5” SATA hard drive converts the Dreambox into being the memory centre of any home network. External hard drives or USB sticks can be connected to the DM7080HD via two USB-3.0 as well as another two USB-2.0 interfaces. The Dreambox will even reproduce digital contents from SD cards via the integrated slot.
In addition to the included DVB-S2 twin tuner there are two more slots for a flexible expansion with DVB-S2, DVB-C or DTT tuners. The Dreambox automatically and simply recognizes new receiver elements through its Plug & Play function. The HDMI-1.4 input and output ensure brilliant picture quality.
Inside the Dreambox, a 7.000 DMIPS dual core processor together with 4 GB of flash memory and 2 GB RAM ensures optimum reproduction quality, as well as fast reaction and short switching times. The innovative Dreambox operating system guarantees stable reception via all distribution channels, including streaming. Plug-in developers utilize the Dreambox API to continually expand the range of functions of the DM7080HD by means of new applications, which are free of charge.
