segfault on timeshift

  • Dear all,

I get weird segfault if I do timeshift when subtitles are on. Timeshift works fine when subtitles are not switched on. I am building a opendreambox 2.5 system on debian stretch. All the latest updates. This happens for a couple of months now. I am at a real loss here, any help would be greatly appreciated. I have never had that with opendreambox 2.0 for any images I have built.
The error log (.... indicates a large number of similar lines):

    Thank you for any help

  • We are testing out this issue on Peter Pan image now. Could someone from Dream Property please look into this issue?

If a channel have subtitle activated, timeshift vil make a GSOD when pause key is pressed. Does a channel have no subtitle activated, pausing gives no GSOD.

Attaching screenshot of GSOD if it can help.

Edit: testet on dm900 and dm820

  • Further testing tells us that this happens when either DVB or TTX subtitles are selected when pushing <pause> on remote control. If unselected no GSOD while timeshifting. If permanent timeshift is installed it also gives GSOD when backwarding timeshift.

@Reichi, is this something you can comment?

  • Hi all,
Is there any news or suggestions what to try for that? The fix for <Unknown> language in subtitles by ghost (see here) unfortunately did not change this behaviour.
    Thanks for all the help.
    cheers
