Is Open Source dead on Enigma 2 ?

  • While I tend to agree with you in principle and wish for the good old open source e2 days back (without the e2 community split and everything else the license change entailed), there are many things to consider and you are a bit late to the party, Mr. Lohoff.

  • Lohoff, DMM was forced into that because of the competitors which saved themselves the trouble (and the money) to develop the software themselves. In the long run, this would have destroyed DMM for sure. There are too many people and companies just exploiting other people's work without returning anything themselves.

The idea of OpenSource in a commercial environment is flawed by design. I always said that and I stand by it.
